Thanks for the message & filling in some gaps. I Have the Births, marriages & deaths from the St,Catherine's House (GRO) records & have tried to link up the families. I was interested in yours because it is Welsh (not a usual place for Cranfields). I have John Stead Cranfield b circa 1862 died 1942 West Galmorgan who is definitely yours. I also have the following who must fit in somewhere:
James Stead Cranfield b June quarter 1850 Chesterton
Harriet S Cranfield b circa 1859 died June quarter 1924 aged 65 Swansea
John Stead Cranfield b March quarter 1857 Chesterton & died March quarter 1859 Chesterton. These are possible siblings to your John Stead
I ahve a marriage for John Stead Cranfiels March quarter 1886 Chesterton to Elizabeth Jane b circa 1866 died June quarter 1892 aged 26 Swansea. A second marriage March quarter (can I just write q?) 1894 Swansea. Children from the 2nd marriage:
1) Hester Harriet Cranfield b Sept q Swansea married June q 1922 to Mr Davies
2) Ellen I Cranfield b June q 1898 Swansea married June q 1922 Swansea to Mr Lewis
3) Jack Watcyn Cranfield b June q 1902 Swansea died 23 Feb 1956 aged 54 Swansea married Sep q 1933 Swansea to Myfanwy Olwen Roberts. his children(twins): Frederick R b Sep q 1940 Neath & Pyllis b same q.
