Faith,
My 2gts-grandfather, Samuel Crankshaw, had a brother Jacob Crankshaw. Both were in 1830 census in Onondaga County, NY, as was their mother, Mary Ann (Rose) Crankshaw (widow of Moses Crankshaw). My grandfather's brother had told me many years ago, that of the two brothers, "one went east, and one went west."Mine, Samuel, went "west" to Oswego Co (1840 census) and on to Michigan in 1846, settling in Lapeer County.Jacob went "east" to Fulton County and is there in the 1850 census.I have a great deal on his descendants, up to the present day, but I do not have a Frank Crankshaw.Could you give anything further on Frank?I seem to remember seeing Greenfield as a 2nd marriage to one of the Crankshaw widows, but not sure where I saw it.Looking forward to your reply.
