Tanya;
My wife's mother was a Craver (Caucasian type) from East Texas, so we've done some family research over the past few years.On a survey map we found a Craver Cemetery in Harrison County, TX.It's between Marshall and Harleton and when we located it several years ago, it was much overgrown. There seemed to be some recent Craver burials as well as a number of unmarked graves.We were told that it was a black cemetery.Family tradition says that Lewis T. Craver had one female slave (probably in Harris County, GA,) and sold her for $1000 and came to Texas, prob. between 1839 and 1854.There are a lot of black Cravers in Harrison County today. Don't know if any of this will help, but hope so.Ken
