Hi Joe:
Sorry for such a delayed response ... you had asked if I knew of any other ch. of James Crawbuck (b ca 1821) & Mary Bishop (b ca 1835). The 1870 NJ census shows a son Frank, 8 yrs. old. The 1880 NJ census lists son Frank, 18 yrs. old, and a son Harry, age 5. It's possible there were other sons born after Harry, as Mary was 41 in 1880.Mary Bishop was the sister of my GG Grandfather; she was born in Cold Spring Harbor and lived there until her marriage to James F. Crawbuck in 1856.James and Mary lived in Newtown (Queens) before moving to Jersey City ca. 1862-1868. The children would have had aunts/uncles/cousins in Huntington and nearby hamlets on the Bishop side through the early 1900s, so perhaps one of the sons (Frank or Harry) made their way back to Long Island. If you'd like more info on the Bishop connection, contact me at [email protected].
