Hi cousin, Bob Alvey is the kind of researcher that I aspire to be.I will provide a little information here and then contact you directly through email. The original spelling was Crallé, which became Cralley and Crawley as the family moved from Virginia. Our Patriarch's in Kentucky are Kenner and Delilah Donovan Cralle.
We have collected a lot of Cralle information but still do not know the father of Kenner or where Kenner and Delilah are buried. Our first ancestors on this continent are John and Ann Matthew Crallé:
Descendants of John Crallé I
1 John Crallé I b: Bef. 1656 in England d: 1728 in Northumberland, VA
.. +Anna Mathews b: 27 Feb 1678/79 in St. Stephens Parish Northumberland County VA d: in Northumberland, VA
.. 2 John Crallé, Jr. b: Abt. 1693 in probably Northumberland County, VA d: Bet. 27 Apr 1757 - 13 Mar 1758 in St. Stephens Parish, VA
...... +[1] Hannah Fox Kenner b: 31 Aug 1695 in Northumberland, VA d: Bef. 1758 in Northumberland, VA m: 1729
.. 2 Thomas Crallé I b: 1695 in Northumberland, VA d: 1726 in Northumberland, VA
...... +[1] Hannah Fox Kenner b: 31 Aug 1695 in Northumberland, VA d: Bef. 1758 in Northumberland, VA m: Bef. 20 May 1719 in Northern Neck, VA.
Our historical home in this country is Heathsville, Northumberland County, VA.
The Cralles were Virginia Planters and married well.We are related to the Ball, Fox, Kenner and other VA Planter families.Through the Balls we are second cousins of George Washington whose mother was a Ball.We also have at least one Confederate General as a cousin: BrigGen Armistead Lindsey Long CSA who lived for awhile in UnionCo, KY. We wore grey in the War of Northern Aggression.
We have many Cralle cousins in Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
Enough rambling.I will contact you through your email address from you posting.
Mike
