Michael Creamer/Sarah Creamer, Clark Co. Indiana
I am trying to connect a Michael Creamer,b. abt 1826, married to Sarah Creamer, b. abt 1831. According to the Clark Co., Indiana 1860 census, He was 34 and Sarah was 29.The census indicates that he was from France. My Aunt has told me my ggggrandfather Creamer was from Alsace-Lorraine which has been traded back and forth between France and Germany.
Michael and Sarah had the following childern in 1860.
William age 8
Henry age 6
Frances age 4 ( This is my ggGrandfather's name and this is who I am trying to connect to my genealogy tree. It is the only Frances Creamer in Clark co. at that time! If he was 4 in 1860 that would make his birth about 1856 and the right age to have had my Grandfather in 1891)
Samuel age 1
So far this is what I know for sure. All were from Clark Co.Indiana.
GGGGrandfather; Known fact that he was from Alasce-Lorraine, lived in Indiana. My aunt died this past Dec. 2001. She said that Frances's Father was from Alasce-Lorraine but said it was German, possibly due to the fact that Ernest E. Creamer, Sr. still spoke(cursed) some German when upset.
GGgrandfather; Frances Creamer, Sr. m. Cordelia(an orphan)
Grandfather; Ernest Eugene Creamer m. Bertrude Whitson
Father; Ernest Eugene Creamer,Jr. m. Martha Crisp
Myself; Ernest Eugene Creamer III
Any body with information about this family ??
Thanks, Ernie
