InTHE FAMINE IMIGRANTS LIST OF IRISH IMMIGRANTS arriving at Port of New York. 1846-1851, there is a John Creeden age 30 occ Joiner arr 22 Dec 1846. Sailed from Liverpool on the Elsinore. I have just started my genealogy research this year and I am new to methods. In Louisvile we have the Ky Census and a City directory dating back to 1832. I looked up John Creeden. He was a porter and lived h center bet green and walnut.1859-1860 directory. I am going to do a complete search on my ancesters in the directory when I get time. Give me a couple of names and I will look for them in the directory. Now in the Louisville Phone book ther are only 3 Creedens. The Harold Creeden listing would not talk to me. I appreciate your interest. I have a web page which I am searching Duffy/Quinn and O'Leary/Creeden. I have a lot of Irish heritage located in the Louisville area around 1850-1880. The Web page needs some editing but take a look. http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/o/l/e/Neil-J-Oleary/index.html
