I too am looking for information about Ann Creighton born 1782 daughter of the Rev Jmaes Creighton. She married a Benjamin Hawkins and had a son Samuel Harris Hawkins born 1804.There is a portrait by Linnell, painted in 1832, of 'my' Ann in the National Portrait Gallery Collection, donated by her grand daughter's husband, Frederick Piercy. I believe she was an engraver and is listed in the 1826 London Trade Directory 'Mrs Ann Creighton Hawkins - engraver and copperplate printer'. Perhaps this was Benjamin's trade and he was deceased by this time. Her son Samuel was an engraver too, until he emigrated with the Mormons in 1848. Any further info re this family would be appreciated.
