Thomas Craton Pvt. in Col. Robert Dyers and Capt. James Wyatt Tennessee Volunteer Mounted Gunmen

James Wyatt is on the officers list as being from Fayetteville Lincoln Co. Tenn. I have also confirmed this with Lincoln Co. census records.

This militia unit joined Andrew Jackson as a key supporter during the Battle of New Orleans. My gggg grandfather Lawrence Epps is listed in the same unit. He married Elizabeth Craton in Wilson Co. Tenn. 26 Jan 1807. I think the Thomas Craton that was in his unit had to be a relative of Elizabeth Craton probably a brother. Does anyone know where Thomas Craton was born, his father, mother, dates, etc? I am trying to find out where my ancestor came from all we know is he was born 1782 in North Carolina.
