James, I'm afraid I have little to contribute with regard to the Creighton family. However, the brother of my ancestor, Rankin McClure, married a Jane Creighton and they lived in North Carolina. His name was John McClure (1760-1843).

I am told that both John and Jane Creighton, McClure are buried in Old Beaver Creek Cemetery, Kershaw County, South Carolina.

At one time I had the name of Jane's father. I cannot find this information but will try and if found will post it to you. I faintly remember that it said that the Creighton family came to America from Ireland and that they landed in the Carolina's. (Either North or South).

Joyce McClure
