I have Daniel Cripe b. 6 May 1762, and d. 10 Dec 1859. His wife, Magdalena was b. 24 May 1770, and d. 25 May 1842. Buried in Goshen IN.

He with his brother, Jacob Cripe and John Pippinger and their farmily came in 1829 from Montgomery Co. OH to Wolf Creek Congregation. He had a section of land about 2 miles south of where the Goshen Court house now stands. He made the first wooden Plough and ploughed the first furrow in Elkhart Prairie. Elder Cripe's children were Samuel, Emanuel, John, Daniel and Benjamin Daughters: susan, Catherine, Polly, and Elizabeth.

Do these people perhaps belong to your Cripes?

Catherine Leinbach
