Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Thanks for the reply Randall.

If I understand our relationship, your grandfather, John, and I are in the same generation.

Your Jacob (born 1815) was the oldest of Rhinehart's childern and my Jonathan (born 1840) was the youngest. Also they had differnt mothers, Jonathan's being Elizabeth Hetrick--so we are only half cousins--as if that mattered!

I plan to visit Indiana this September to see some grave sites, visit other cousins, and get a feel for Elkhart and St. Joseph counties. Perhaps we can meet. Please contact me by e-mail for further discussions if you like.

Thanks again,
Bert
