Ruth,

Jacob was my GGG grandfather. My grandfather

John Walter Cripe is also buried in

Noffsinger cemetery. I will see what I can

find in the library at Greenville, next time

I am there. The genealogy society there has

all the issues of the "Advocate" newspapaer

on microfilm to back in the mid 1800s. It

should go back far enough to give some

insight as to who died of what. It sure does

sound like some hanky-panky going on though

doesn't it.


I never knew my grandfather and I don't think

my mother ever knew him. He wasn't married to

my grandmother. His brother was married to

my greatgrandmother's sister. No one in the

family ever talked about any of it. Guess

they never thought someone like me would

figure it out.
