I know nothing further about any of the individuals mentioned in this newspaper article. I am posting it in the hope that it will help Cripe and Mohler researchers.
This news article was published in the Savannah Morning News, Thursday, January 20, 1927, page 2.

Wed After Long years

Miami, Fla., Jan. 19 (AP).--A “three score and ten” romance culminated here today in the marriage of Lizzie Mohler, 71, to Noah Cripe, 76, of Homestead, Fla.

Back in their childhood days they had been sweethearts, but in the years that followed they became separated, the girl going to a little Indiana town and the boy coming to Florida. The aged man learned her address a week ago and she hastened here at his request.

Attired in the styles of the “gay 90’s,” the couple took the vows, although the blushing bride affirmed” the truth of her statements in place of “swearing.” [End of article]
The statement about affirming rather than swearing suggests she may have been a Quaker or member of another faith that did not swear, but affirmed truthfulness.

In the 1930 census they were living in Dade County, Florida. That census says he was born in Indiana and she in Illinois.
