CRIPE gedcom file

Folks, I had put up a page a few weeks ago showing Cripe descendants. That page is

At the time I put it up, I noted that I would try to upload a gedcom file to help sort these folks out, because they ARE complicated. I've done that now. You can get to the gedcom file from the above named page, or you can go directly to the gedcom file at this site:

What you will get is a file to be downloaded to your computer. It is a zipped file called "" and it will unzip with any unzipper to one file: ccc.ged

You will need gedcom compatible genealogy software to handle the file. It is a large one. If you have at least a 36K modem, it should download in under two minutes. Use your search features to find the Cripes. The file includes many intermarried families, and it concentrates most of all on folks in Carroll Co., IN. Thus the name of the file: "Carroll County Connections."

If your person is not there, please don't write hoping I have the info, because I don't. If your person is there, please don't write asking if I have more info, because either I do not, or I simply do not have the time or wherewithal to dig thru my stuff and give you more info.

Use it; share it; enjoy it. Don't charge anyone even a DIME for it or for any info you find in it! If you give it to the God-awful folks at Borderbund or any other profit-making genealogy group, I as God is my witness, I will get the ghosts of the descendants of Jacob Cripe to haunt you!

Alice Beard
