Hi Steffen,

Thank you for posting this info for Shawn as it filled in some empty blanks for me in my lineage. My name is Darlene Dean, I am the great-grandchild of John William Cripe and Laura Alice grandmother was Eva Dakota Cripe Hogan, and my mother was Nellie Alice Hogan.

William Floyd Cripe was the brother to my grandmother Eva Dakota. My info has his birth being earlier than you listed.
I have his birth as January 20, 1890 in Pyrmont, Carroll CO, IN and death on January 30, 1954 in Bismarck, Burleigh Co, ND.
I know that my grandmother's brother was many years older than her as she was the youngest child born in 1905.

Betty Bobo who is mentioned in a previous post did extensive research on the family. She is the daughter of William Floyd (Sen...short for Senator, a nickname given to him by his grandfather) Cripe. I have the large paper book she published several years ago, but it is deep in my storage bin at the moment. I can probably get contact info for you if needed.

I am just a beginner but find this search fascinating and would be interested in any other info on the family you have. Could you tell me where you got your info on this branch of the family? Just curious. I don't belong to so am just finding bits & pieces of info here and there.

Darlene Dean
