Hi Linda - I found some more info for you concerning your Elizabeth Cripe. I was right, she is a daughter to Jacob. Thus, her parents were Jacob Cripe (b. 14 Feb 1815 in OH, d 11 July 1870 IL) married to Mary (Polly) Rench 15 Oct 1839. Elizabeth was their 4th child, born 17 Mar 1842, died 4 Sep 1917. Married 28 Jun 1860 to Wiley Powell. Married a second time to George Baits, Dec 1865. No info on what happened to the first marriage. She had children in the second marriage. Hope this helps.
