I am researching the family history of my first cousins and have determined they are the descendants of Henry Croll and Mary D. Unknown who are found in Berks Co., PA in 1850, and Ohio in 1860. Children include Benville/Beneville, Daniel, Lucinda, Henry, James, and George. Can you tell me (a lot!) more about these folks and any additional ancestry you might have on them?

My cousins are through James Franklin Croll (above - born 1842) who married Malinda Jane Howard in Mahaska Co., IA. Malinda died about 1879, James remarried to the widow Rachel Hauenstein Biddle, and they and several other Mahaska Co. families moved to South Dakota about 1885ish, with some later moving to California (a little warmer in CA than SD? :-)

Would love to hear from you. I don't see this Henry and Mary in your list, but it seems likely they are connected and would really appreciate your help.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Brenda Hawkins
