I know of one Croll who emigrated to Australia - George b. 25 Dec 1825 - supposedly he was very tall man. He was one of 9 children born to James Croll and Jean Carnegy, Blackhall, Marykirk, Kincardineshire.

His brother James b. 4 Aug 1814 m. Janet Laird from North Berwick. Some of their older children were born in England. The younger ones were born at Duntrune Mill just outside Dundee. This family were well-known nurserymen (horticulturalists)in the Dundee area.
