Dear Jan,
I know it seems years ago but we have had lots of complications in our family etc. and we have now settled in Orbost Vic. We are here to stay and I am at last setting up a library in the house to enable some research. Somewhere in my files I do have records of my wifes familey (Croll) but I have not yet found them. I know that Carols (my wife) gfather was called Bill (like her father) but his real name was carl or Willhem. Carol has some old letters written in german but we have not yet had them deciphered. They were sent to her Gfather from Germany. I do believe that Carols gfather was a prisoner of war (first world war)and I know that he was employed on a farm at Konwak in Vic during those war years. He later worked in the Wonthaggi coal mines.
Hope you are still at this address. Kind Wishes.
Rodway wolfe.
