My Grandfather tells me his fathers family Kelly came from Tarland. James, Married Elizabeth Sandison in 1900 and I have been able to trace parts of the family mostly born in BIRSE,Aberdeenshire.
elizabeth Mitchell, born in BIRSE 1836 aberdeenshire. her father husband was a JOHN BIRSE born in BIRSE in 1932.
does this tie in with your family? or have you come across them in your research.
