Hi Art,
I'm sorry to say that I have very little info on either the Hensons or Cromers. Henry ("Dutch")Cromer's daughter, Mary Ann Henson Cromer married my John Crafton Wilks 27 Oct. 1836 in Rutherford Co., TN & they later moved to Sharp Co., AR, where she died 20 Sept. 1866. I got the info about Godfos from another researcher a number of years ago & I have half heartedly over the years looked to find anything on him & never have. Unfortunately all my research is currently in storage so I can't even tell you who gave me that data but I believe it was someone who was researching the Gambill family, who married Richard Shaver in Tenn. (He was an Indian fighter in middle Tenn. & his wife was Elizabeth Gambill, when he died in 1793 she married Luke Anderson in TN l794 - the dau, Sally Shaver/Shaffer, of Richard & Elizabeth married Henry ("Dutch") Cromer by 1811 in TN. All I have with this data is my pedigree chart showing just my direct line - those I have. The Mary Ann Henson, wife of Godfos, supposedly, was born in N.C. somewhere! Sorry. I've always thought Godfos was an unusual name! Henry was nicknamed "Dutch" - obviously because of the German background!

It is an interesting group - Indian fighter, German immigrant - but not proven by me. I'd like to find out more!!!

I'm sure Godfos & Mary Ann Henson married somewhere in N.C. I have no idea where in N.C. they lived or where Henry/Dutch was born. I have no idea how or when Godfos came over from Germany.

I can't remember who else was in any of those families, or if I know very much. Dutch Cromer died in 1863 in Williamson Co., TN.

I'm hoping someone out there might have info to help me. Sorry I can't help you more.
