Judy, I am interested in Martin Cromer also. My ggg-grandmother, Mary Cromer b. ca 1816 in PA, married Jacob Blackston about 1834 in Richland CO. OH. We have not been able to determine who her father was, however, she named her son, James Martin Blackstone/Blacksten. The name Martin appears down thru the generations which would seem to indicate that it was a family name. Mary's sister, Margaret was born 1814,in PA. Margaret lived with Mary and Jacob in the 1880 census of Richland Co.OH. Several Cromers settled in Seneca Co.OH also. Do you know the names of the offspring of the elder Martin and the one born 1795 and who they married? I was not aware of your Cromer's Indiana connections but the Blacksten-Cromer family did move to Noble Co. in NE Indiana in the mid-1800's. Appreciate your comments.
