My 4 x great gran was an Ann Crook born 1766 in Dorchester. Her parents were a James Crook and a Martha Thorne. They were married in Dorchester.
James would probably have been born around 1730-40 as he was married in 1757. I have searched quite a few of the local parishes but have yet to track him down...!
