Hi Douglas, The Crooker's as far as I have traced them back, came form Old Saxony and then to England. They originally spelled the name Croker. In England the Croker's Lived at a place called Croker's Hele, in the parish of Methe, 4 miles from Hatherleigh, Devon. One of my ancestors, Sir John Croker who died 8 May 1508, is buried in a Tomb, with his effigy in brass is located in the parish church in yealhampton Devon.
