Zadock, John, Elizabeth Cropper 10 October 1800. James Clark, administrator of James Rupell. A Bill of Complaint against John Smoot, John Cropper, Zadock Cropper and Elizabeth Cropper. James Clark of Prince George's County. James Rupell, late of the Cityof Westminister in Great Britian, deceased. To collect a debt of Lancelot Lee owed to James Rupell. That Lancelot Lee while in London borrowed 379 pounds from James Rupell. That Lancelot Lee died in 17?? leaving a sister Amelia Lee who married John Anderson of Dorchester County and she died in 1787 with a will and devised Rehoboath to Amelia Lee Smoot. That Amelia Lee Smoot died 1788, an infant in Dorchester County, leaving a brother John Smoot and a sister Catherine Smoot, both of full age. Catherine Smoot married John Cropper and she died in 1795 leaving two children Zadock and Eliza., infants. This is a very long document which will be copied at a later date.
