After reviewing Census Reports and WWI and WWII Draft Registrations, all the children, including George and John, of John Jewell and Blanche Crosier were white, not Choctaw.
Also if you check the dates you'll notice Mary Elizabeth Lofftus Crosier married her second husband, John McWilliams, prior to her first husband Martin's death. I've assumed Martin was seriously injured during Civil War duty and they divorced after his return home, but have no proof.
John McWilliams was a 42-year-old widower with 5 children when he married Mary. They had 3 more children together. One died either at birth or shortly after.
Hope this information is of help to your research. If you know anything additional about Martin Crosier, please forward. Thanks.
