Thomas Crosley August 28th 1570
I've just received a photocopy from the West Yorkshire Archives of a document from the Manor Court Rolls dated August 28th 1570.
My "very rough" transcription of the document is as follows: Note - the bits in square brackets are those things I'm not at all sure about..... Can anyone help with the latin stuff at the bottom - I've copied it here as it looks to me on the handwritten original.
"Thomas Crossley of Thornhill sworn the day and year abovesaid sais that on the [xxvj:] of this [] in the aforenoon Robert Lee of Thornhill aforesaid did enter into a Chamber belonging to Mr Thomas [Whithacher] [and]upon a Box of the said Thomas Crossley and feloniously [take] carrye away six pence of lawfull money of England of the Goods and Chattells of the said Thomas Crossley
