Temperance married Samuel Snead, not Israel Snead.Best proof:Louisa County Va Deed Book B, Page 324
"Grantor: Samuel Snead, Grantee: John Walton,Jr., Date 27-Aug-1759Samuel Snead of Louisa co. to John Walton Jr. 100 lbs. for 97 acres on Cub Creek adj. Armstrong. Sig. Samuel Snead. ack. by Samuel Snead and Temperance his wife relinquished her right of dower 28 Aug 1759."
According to word-of-mouth of the late Dana Crosland, Bennettsville, SC, Samuel's plantation was near Cordova (current Richmond Cy., once Anson), N.C. (Rockingham area) and Hitchcock Creek.Sneedsboro is on the now Anson Cy. side of the Great Pee Dee River.
Ann Snead (b. 3-4-1755) married Edward Crosland in 1774 and she died in 1832 (Ref. Family of Edward and Ann Snead Crosland 1740-1957 by Lulu Crosland Ricaud).By referring to Page 95 of said book, one will find all of the children with birth dates of Samuel and Temperance B. Snead. These dates should be accurate.
