Mary Croswell born 30 Aug 1860 Peel County, Ontario Canada, died 24 Jun 1911. She was married to Thomas Cooper. They had eight children. He died 31 Jul 1890. She then married William Jonathan Stanyer. They had one son Edwin Coooper Stanyer born 12 Oct 1891. Edwin married Marie Julia Christopheretti.
This is what I have.
Rebecca Hobbs was born July 6, 1810, at Kingsworthy, Hampshire, daughter of William and Mary Hobbs. She was christened July 29 1810 at Kingsworthy, Hampshire. She died 3 June 1890 at Ahmic Harbour, Ontario, Canada and was buried about Jun 6 1890 at Ahmic Harbour, Ontario. On April 17, 1828, at Micheldever, Hampshire, she married Charles Croswell, christened April 20, 1800 at Portsea, Hampshire, son of Charles and Catherine Croswell. They had eight children and emigrated to Canada in 1843; he died at sea from cholera and was likely buried at Gross Isle Quarantine Station in Quebec. Her second husband, whose wife also died at sea and by legend on the same boat, was George French. He was born in 1790 at Botley, Hampshire, England. The French’s had eight children as well. Rebecca and George were married in Dundas, Ontario and had eight more children of their own.
This disagrees slightly from Robert Black’s response but this is the same family. My wife is Sharon Lorraine Croswell. I have been researching this family for about thirty years. Please contact me to share information.
