This is a sreange title, but I hope to find others who of know this family in ENG. I was surpirsed, in getting into genforum, there are so many others from the same country. William John Sweasey (1805-1893) married Anna 'Esther' Croucher in London and had the first two children born there, Esther and Thomas W. (1832-1924) They came to America c1836, joining the Robert Dale Owens Utopian Colony in New Harmony, Posey County, Indiana. The last child of the six children was born in 1848 and Esther died soon afterwards perhaps of child birth? . By 1849, Sweasey took his family to St. Louis MO where he lead a wagon train , of 10 wagons, to CA. It is a most interesting story about this man, my husaband's great grandfataher, always called Capt. yet wore many hats I would so like to know something of his wife and appreciate any help.
