Earl C. Crowe

Earl C. Crowe, 75 of Ironton, passed away Wednesday (April 28, 2010) at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio.

The Gravelswitch, Kentucky native was born June 20,1934, the son of the late Harvey and Della Tate Crowe.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Charmie Knowles Crowe, who passed away April 11, 2007.

Mr. Crowe attended schools in Indiana and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was also a former grounds keeper for the San Jacinto College and a minister of the Apostolic faith. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who was loved by his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a dedicated husband for 50 years until she went on to be with her Lord in 2007. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by:
2 brothers: Arville Crowe and William Crowe

He is survived by:
2 daughters and a son-in-law: Kathy and Randy Summers of Galion, OH and Cecelia Taylor of Ironton
3 grandchildren: Chris Lawson of Marion, OH, Tiffany Babb and Nicole Taylor both of Ironton
5 great grandchildren: Jacob Clark of Coal Grove, Madison Lawson and Courtney Lawson both of Galion, OH, Brooke Babb and Cooper Wilson both of Ironton
a sister: Rose Crowe Long of Indiana

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio is in charge of the arrangements.
