I checked "The 169 Towns of Connecticut" by Paul W. Prindle
This lists all present towns, former names, date of settlement, where it was set off from.
There is no Hatfield listed.
There is a "Stratfield Parish" which is now Bridgeport.(Fairfield County) Settled/ Set off from Stratford.
