Bill: If you haven't already looked, you shud
seek out the numerous Graves Genealogies. There is (1) "GENEALOGY OF THE GRAVES FAMILY IN AMERICA", Vol 1: Sketch of the Family in England. Genealogy of the Family of Thomas Graves of Hatfield, Massachusetts (1896, by John C Graves. (2) GENEALOGY OF ( ), DESCENDANT OF JOHN GRAVES OF CONCORD, MASSACHUSETTS 1635 (1907). (3) GRAVES FAMILY GENEALOGIES VOL 1: THOMAS GRAVES, 1645 SETTLER OF HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT AND HATFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS AND HIS DESCENDANTS. VOL 5: Samuel Graves, 1630 settler of Lynn, Massachusetts and his descendants. Vol 8: Rear Admiral Thomas Graves 1637 Settler of Charlestown, Massachusetts and His Descendants (1985, Kenneth Vance Graves).
These happen to be just 3 of the Graves published works that circulate via the NEHGS Boston Circulating Library (members only). I'm sure you'll find many more in the Library of Congress, accessible via the "net". You will also find several pages of GRAVES in the "Register", showing all kinds of christian names.
