Search Needed in Hartford, CT

I'm looking for a local CT person who can look at the Barbour Collection "slips" at the CT State Library in Hartford for two CT births. I have lines from the present back to the early 1800s that I've been working in Niagara Co, New York.

I now find myself with two CT births - and thus a change in locality in my lines. I do not want to go to the secondary microfilms or the index books. I'd like to find a "local" person who can literally go through the "slips" in drawers there in Hartford.

I have:
1) Sylvester HOSMER - b 17 July 1794
2) Samantha HAWKS - b 15 Mar 1804

I have no information on a "placename" other than "CT", no parent's names, no sibling names.

I am willing to compensate for time, copies, etc. Has anyone used these records before? Anyone available to do these two searches for me? (anyone willing to "pray" that they are there - and there are town names and parent names listed???!!??)
