DETWILER 1892 from England
Posted by: Dawn Towner Date: March 09, 1999 at 09:53:13

I have descendants in my line who were TOWLSON's who married into DETWILER in England. Came over in 1892 with destination listed as Connecticut. Frances TOWLSON DETWILER was born in 1882 and died in 1906. so she was 24 when she died. She didn't have any kids. Gertrude Towlson Hill Detwiler. She was born 3-25-1884 and had four kids: Margaret, Edward, Joe and Charles. Frances and Gertrude's parents were: Maria Hardy TOWLSON and William TOWLSON. They had 4 brothers named: Samuel, Albert, Harold and William. I am not sure whether they stayed in Connecticut or not. I only know that was their final destination after arriving in Port of New York from England. I can trace parts of that family (TOWLSON) to New York after. Any further inforamtion on this line would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
