Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

From article " The 169 Towns of Connecticut" by Paul W. Prindle, F.A.S.G.
"Haddam was first settled in 1662, made a town in 1668. Settled from Hartford, Windsor and Wethersfield. "
"East Haddam was settled in 1670 and made a town in 1734. Set off from Haddam"

These towns are in present day Middlesex County.
