I have a book of biographies on "prominent & representative citizens" of Tolland & Windham Counties published in 1903. In it I found the following information within the bio of Col. Andrew Modock Litchfield of Hampton, Windham County, CT.

John Litchfield b. 11/18/1798 d. 12/15/1883

His siblings were:
Mary b. 1789 d. 1793
Lucy b. 1791 d. 1793
Daniel b. 1793 d. 1862
Asa S. b. 1795 d. 1860
Andrew Modock b. 1801 d. 1890
Eleazer b. 1805 d. 1848

Their parents were: Uriah b. 1766 d. 1833 and Sarah Witter b. 1767 d. 1843.

There is also a reference at the beginning of the bio to a Lawrence Litchfield who was in Boston in 1640, was a resident of Barnstable, MA., and died at Scituate, MA. in 1650. The bio states that he was "the 1st of his line to land in America". The statement is short & vague and makes no specific lineage references to the above listed Litchfields. It, rather, implies that they are his descendants.
