Actually Sarah "Sallie" Battoe was married to an Outhouse. Had two sons by him. They had moved to Il and Sarah detested the place. Left her husband and sons and went back to Ky. Outhouse petitioned the State for a divorce and was granted one. Sarah then married Zachariah. There is a booklet available from the LDS on micorfiche loan. Titled "Our Battoe Ancestors" Her father had been press-ganged by the Loyalists and served with them until he was able to defect to the Rebel side.
