Hi Eva,

I am sure we probably connect somewhere... My direct Blackwell line is:

Myrtle Wallace (my grandmother) daughter of Charles & Ollie (Blackwell) Wallace.

Ollie Blackwell (my ggrandmother) daugher of George William Blackwell & Alice Gilbert.

George William Blackwell was the son of George Huey Blackwell and Lydia "Lillie" Lyles.

George Huey Blackwell was the son of John "Jack" Blackwell Jr. and Nancy Elvira Huey.

"Jack" Blackwell was the son of Rev. John Blackwell Sr. and Susannah Glenn.

I am also related to the Blackwell line through the daughter of George Huey Blackwell & Lillie Lyles whose name was Melissa Frances Blackwell (sister of my gggrandfather George W.)marrying James William Morrison Gilbert (brother of my gggrandmother Alice Gilbert). Two siblings marrying two siblings of another family...

The way I am related to the Cudds is rather remotely through marriage. My gggrandmother Alice Gilbert had a sister named Martha Adeline Gilbert. Martha married Rufus Henry Lewis III and one of their daughters, Ila Lewis married James Cudd. I know nothing more of the Cudd family. I have a photo of Ila Lewis before she married and some other old pictures that may be of that branch of the family. Some may also be of James Cudd or of their children. It seems that Ila was close to her Aunt Alice (my gggrandma) and sent her several pictures which were handed down to me.

The only Rebecca Blackwell that I have identified would be too long ago to be your relative. But if you know of any of these names I have mentioned, please send me an email and maybe we can find the connection...
