Henry Cudd 1850 Spartanburg, SC census Roll 858 pg 178 house 1316 Andrew age 3-See message 4 of this forum. I think the A.J. Cudd you mentioned is #9) Andrew J. "Andy" Cudd(on Jack L. Green's list of Henry & Lavinia? Cudd's children). #5) Sarah Cudd is my GGMother. She married Lecil(Cecil)Couch. He is listed in Landrum's "History of Spartanburg,SC" pg 690- 18th Regiment Co.E. Henry Cudd pg 713 Co. I, A.J.Cudd along w Lecil's brother Perry pg 721 ,& J.P. Cudd pg 683{#4)Jack Green's list}. Joseph P. Cudd married Epsy Couch, Lecil's sister. #2) Mary Cudd married Wesley McBee. In 1880 Cherokee TWP,Spartanburg Co.,SC Census Roll 1240-SD1, ED140, pg 158 house #517-David Cudd w mother Lavina, house #520 Wesley McBee & Mary J.Cudd McBee & Lecil & Sarah Cudd Couch's son Samuel(my Granddad),#523 Andy Cudd & children, #524Sarah Cudd Couch. In addition to this Lecil's mother Rebecca Couch was living w her son Perry Couch pg 153,house 418 w Epsay Cudd living in house 418. The close proximity of these related people in their living areas & in the military leads me to believe this is your A.J. Cudd.
