Hi there Cousin -- Thanks for the information. As of this date, I have not run across a Sara Laure Nance; however, I have not researched all of the Nance Tree. I'm sure she is there somewhere. Like you, I have always heard that there is a strong Cherokee heritage in our Family. I have a very good picture of my great grandmother, Anne Palmer Cudd Nance, and she looks exactly like all the Indians I have ever seen. I do know that Anne had a sister named Caroline V. "Fannie" Cudd who married Warren Nance, the nephew of Anne's husband, Larkin. Your branch of the Nance's Tree may be there????? Don't know.

Between the two of us, we are going to find that Indian. When we do, I'm going to Oklahome to the Cherokee Headquarters and try to become a card carrying Indian, but I've got to have the number assigned to them to do that I think. I've always wanted to have proof that I was an Indian. haha

Thanks for your help. Keep in touch. My e-mail is nance35@msn.com

Until Later,

Bill
