Folklore has it that my Great-grandmother, Ann Elizabeth Cudd was a Cherokee from around Bufalo, Mo. and likely was born in Tennessee. Her father was Zachariah Cudd, also from Tenn. I cannot verify or even find evidence to the indian blood but my grandfather, James C. Tibbs claimed he as half Indian. I hope I added to your quest and if you have anything that might enlighten me please respond.
