John Cudd fought in the War of 1812 and was
awarded land in Ms. Born SC, moved to Cobb
Co., Ga., then to Rocky Point, Attala Co.,
Ms. by 1860. Several of his children moved
to DeWitt Co., Texas by 1870. Family was on
the Taylor side of the Sutton/Taylor feud
in the DeWitt, Gonzales and Lavaca counties
area from mid to late 1800's.

1) Fedrick F. Cudd and Sarah A. Blunt?/
2) Mary "Polly" Cudd and Rial Riley Stansell.
3)Carter C. Cudd and Elizabeth C. Terry
4)David J. Cudd and Susan Dizar "Dicey"
5) Susannah J. Cudd. May have married a James
Washington Estes, most likely in Al or Ms.
6) Alexander Ross Cudd and Sarah Taylor.
7) William P. Cudd married 1st) Nancy Green
2nd) Rachel Ivey.
There were three unidentified sons. One may
have been named Greene Cudd.
