Connie,

Thank you for the reply. I need to point out for others reading this that Joseph, the son of Lydia & Joseph, was born 17 Oct "1772" verses the 1795. But the Capt. Joseph I was referring to is Lydia's husband, Joseph (the prominent shipbuilder in Scituate that you mention), not the son. Can you tell me who Joseph's parents are, and I'll continue from there.

Does the Genealogy by chance also indicate who Lydia's parents are? The Scituate VR's document a Lydia TOWER baptized in Scituate on 17 Apr 1748, as dau. of a Jonathan & Lydia TOWER. I'm trying to determine if this dau. is the Lydia who married Joseph CUDWORTH, and whether the mother(Lydia) was named HOLLIS.
I have tried a posting on the HOLLIS Forum, but not had any followups.

My thanks again.
