The oldest record I have is of Benedict Koller who emigrated from Germany to Orangeburg, SC in 1735.He was born in Eschelbach, Baden, Germany (No date available)He married Magadalene Springen from Basel, Switzerland Jan 1, 1740 (apparently part of the same group of emigrants).Magdalene died 1/30/1760, followed 2 days later by Benedict. They had 4 children (Margaret Kollerin, Benedict Culler, Elizabeth Culler and Anna Koller.Apparently the name changed about the time of the Revolutionary War.My branch of the family is descended through Benedict Culler.I have much of the family tree that leads to us and would be happy to send it if you have a copy of Family Tree Maker software.
