My mother was a Culverwell. Her name was Kathleen Lucy Culverwell. She was born in Bridgwater in 1920. The daughter of Alfred Culverwell a cabinet maker of the same town. Her mother was Rosina (nee Sayers). Alf and Rosie had other daughters: Rosina, Mabel, Jean and 1 son Reginald. Alf's mother was the licencee of The Beaufort Arms public house "over the bridge" in Bridgwater. Kathleen married Robert Charles Witney just after W.W.2. If anyone interested in the Culvewells of Somerset can shed anymore light on this branch of the family please contact me at markwitney@btinternet.com Thankyou.
