What does "Culwell" mean?

I am the daugher of Paul "Bus" Culwell (B: Hedley, Texas), grand-daughter of Oscar Ray Culwell, and great-grand-daughter of Joshua Greenberry/Greenbury (sp?) Culwell...also from Texas. Other known ancestors are from Arkansas.

According to our family lore...the name is Irish and doesn't "mean anything". Over the years, I have heard people say they thought there were some "Cul" mountains in Ireland.

That's all I know!

Best wishes,

Joan Culwell
