Hi -
My "Cunniff" is of the Boston Cunniff's. Though, I've come to believe that the few areas the name is prominent throughout the states, I'm sure we're all related in some fashion.

I'm just starting to explore my roots and would love any input. My father is Paul Cunniff, cousin to the great hockey coach John Cunniff. My dad has a sister named Kathy and a brother named Robert. My grandparents are Paul Joseph and Ruth (ne: Judd) - both of whom come from famillies in Boston. My grandfather's sister is Rita who married Frank Cavanaugh and had a daughter named Patty.

I've always been told our family came from county Cork, Ireland - but I'm starting to believe we may be originally from Roscommon. Just as an aside, we're all runners in our family and I've also been told that is something that has been passed down (Grandfather still runs 10Ks' well into his 80s')

I'm gathering more info and will update you if you wish.

Best,
Cynthia
