Laura;
I came accross your message, I am a Cunniff. My grandfather was born in Edinboro Scotland in 1867 and then came to the States to the Pittsburgh area in the late 1800's. The family said his father was originally from Ireland, but we know not where. I beleive his first name was John. Maybe there is a conection.
Terry Cunniff
